Last week of Friday night drags at TMS and I took the Focus out there. Running on all seasons. Any tips for a n00b like me?

That looks like a damn fun time.

It's more fun to not wait 3 hrs to run 1 race and get smoked. Lol

I have a list of stuff that needs to be put on before next season:

Motor mount(s)
Airlift rear anti squat bags
Drag radials
Downpipe

Driver weight reduction

Maybe that $1-2k will make me a bit more competitive out there.

What mods did the other car have? What do you currently have?

Other guy didn't tell me what he had done. I didn't ask. Probably should have.

I've got a green filter, FMIC, Cobb Stage 2 OTS, shifter plate, arm and bushings.

It's 1/8 mile and I know it's all about the start and mitigating wheel spin. Something the all seasons aren't good at.

Don't get caught in that mindset. Do a little at a time. Learn the drive the car faster.

There will always be a faster car at the track to chase. Don't break the bank spending trying to keep up.

take your time pre staging and relax and have fun. Slicks should help a ton itself.

No time. It was just heads up win or lose.
Look into the M & H Racemaster slicks. I've seen nothing but great results on those for drag. I have Mickey Thompson ET street R and those help, but not good for strip.
I am going with the M & H soon.

Take out the spare tire, back seats, and passenger seat, and that should help as well.

Logged the run and synced it with DashWare. Pretty sweet stuff! Top speed about 86 before I shut it down.
