My weekend warrior shoe is just the tried and true Samba's. Other than being super comfortable, they have enough flex to do what i need on the pedals.

I'm on my second pair of Onitsuka Tigers. Amazing shoe for driving.
I also have a cheap pair of Onitsuka Tigers that are super flexible that i like driving in. Not sure if Tiger still makes them as cheaply though, i remember only paying like $40 for them. They are real light/flexible and i wouldnt suggest doing much in them other than light walking/driving but they are real nice for that. Maybe they have gone a little more upmarket since (its been a few years since i bought them) but their cheapest shoe on their site today is $60 (thats with the 25% off they have going on.)

As dumb as it sounds, I drive best with my Mark Nason dress shoes lol. It's my daily driver car and most of the time I am in my work clothes. I don't drive the car much on the weekend, we take the wifes 2017 Ford Explorer Sport.

Most times I drive without shoes, only my socks.
During weekend I sometimes wear sneakers or skate shoes.
I never drive my ST with workboots
