It is time for the next EBC Brakes Pad Giveaway! One set of pads (front or rear) will be gifted to one randomly selected forum member from our entire range, just by participating in the below thread!

In past giveaways we have discussed our first ride, garage and storage spaces, famous people we have met or would like to have met and weird and wonderful vehicles amongst other topics.

With respect to electric vehicles, the sound and mechanics of an internal combustion engine is a masterpiece, and as pressures increase from governments for the end of the ICE, this month we would like to pose the question; Hypothetically the law states you can keep only one ICE car for the future, what car do you want to hold onto forever, and why?
Would you choose something economic like a Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost twin turbo, or go for power with the 5.2L V10 Lamborghini Huracan or a 6.2L Hemi SRT Hellcat Supercharged V8? Maybe you want the usability of a Ford F-150, or the classic finesse of a 1980 Corvette Stingray?

The lucky winner will be randomly selected and announced within a few days after the closing date of 1st December 2022 and details will be posted on this forum shortly after.

Please be aware that this thread may appear in more than one section on the forum and one winner will be selected from the whole forum, not a winner per thread.
Pad choice will be based on availability and where a chosen pad is unavailable, an alternative will be offered.

If you are not the lucky winner, EBC Brakes are pleased to be able to offer a 10% discount off their braking products to all members of the forum community using code FORUM10USER
This discount code can be redeemed at EBC Brakes Direct | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Brake Discs or with our USA partners at Perfect Brakes | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Rotors

Any questions or application issues please let us know.

GOOD LUCK………

One of my favorite cars was the 1988 BMW M5. I had a 1985 535i with a 5sp manual, it was kinda close but not quite.

Growing up my neighbor across the street had an early model C3 Stingray Corvette (green). I used to just sit and stare at it from our front windows. Since then, I've been hooked on the body lines and although not the most powerful or best handling ride, my dream is to own one someday. I would probably get one pre 1980s to avoid a computer chip that could fail. Especially pertinent to this topic of electric vehicles....

I would still stay with any hot hatch. It's kind of hard to pick just one to keep as the last ICE because hot hatches are small light SUV's and are tons of fun to row through gears and hear natural pops and bangs, but if I had to absolutely pick one it would be Lancia Delta HF integrale "Evo2". Then I could always engine swap it.

If we're talking about ANYthing, probably a Mclaren 720s or 765lt. Definitely in this purple/black color.

If we're talking about stuff I can actually afford, probably would keep my FoST or maybe a FoRS just because they're small economical grocery getters and are super fun still.

Mmmm, I would personally go with Carrera GT. Such a driver focus car that SCREAMS(sounds amazing). An iconic naturally aspirated car that I could only dream of owning on day. And beautiful too, especially in the silver color.

Really great question this time around!

Personally, with the way things are going to be 'connected' and excessive amounts of sensors and electronics; I'd be more inclined for something from group B rally days (tons of power and not a butt load of electronics and sensors for everything).

RS200 is one of the coolest! Crazy double strut suspension and all the fun! They also were running Quattro S1, Lancia Delta S4, and some Peugeot I can't remember... Add a roof rack and tow hitch to ANY of those and I'd call it a 600WHP Winner!

Otherwise I'd go with the original Bronco champ: BIGFOOT! End all of the traffic for the autonomous EV's, ROFL!

Although it would be nice to keep a performance car "forever", a cockroach like my wife's Lexus ES would actually last "forever".
