This has been going on for a few month. It only happens when I turn left but not just when I'm driving, it also does it when I'm sitting still so I don't think it's a cv joint. The best way I can describe the sound is like the creaking of an old door. Here's the weird thing, at first it only did it when it was either raining or when it was wet outside after raining. Now it does it all the time. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm hoping it's just a tie rod end and not the steering column. It doesn't affect the steering. There's no binding and it's not harder to turn to the left. It feels just as easy as turning right.

More likely a dry ball-joint on one of the lower control arms - these creak just like that when they dry out (long before they actually develop any play or looseness). One of mine did this at about 70,000 miles - new control arm fixed it.
