Hey so I'm looking getting the short shift plate. Have read up on it a little and seen some people say that the shifting is stiffer. What are you guys experience with it or what do you guys recommend for a shorter shift?

I have that set up on my ST, selected on the medium setting. It was dealer installed for me so I have never driven the car with out it so nothing to compare it to but
very happy with it.

Most every time you shorten the throw you're going to increase shift effort. Have you looked at the shift arms available?

If you want something easy, a short shift plate is a good option. I have the fswerks plate, and I love it. Paired with 400g knob the added effort was negligible.

Finally pulled the trigger on the Steeda short shifter kit. Installing it tomorrow!
