If I get a good deal on one of these gen 2, I'll then be ditching the JBR for a good deal.

I think the weight of the stock arm likely makes a difference and if I'm not satisfied with 20% on the Cobb, I'll just cut down the height of the stock ST shift lever and use with the stock arm. 🤪

I'm kinda surprised nobody has retrofitted an entire Mazda trans in the ST, but if it was easy and reasonably economical somebody woulda done it already.
Too many blown ST motors make the ST trans cheaper? 🤔😁

Edited listing. I remembered I have some extra ball studs from McMaster, so I could potentially rework the stock arm, but I'd rather have an extra one first.

I am pretty sure I have the Gen. 2 COBB STS adapter, but the little black ball-link that screws in is not in the box... Not sure if I can find it, but I'll let you know if it turns up. You can have the dumb thing for shipping if you want to source the ball-link. However, I don't recommend them. Just my 2¢. They mess up the alignment of the shifter linkage. I posted some pics with the comparison forever ago in the 'what did you do to your ST today' thread to highlight the angle it puts the linkage at. It definitely made the throws shorter though. Just wasn't as smooth of engagement.

I took a closer look at the stock arm. I think I'll also need a donor trans bracket to modify for the best cable alignment, trying to work out details on that too.

All yours man 👍. I never grabbed any of that stuff (motor mount & trans bracket) off of my older ST, but they were probably bent along with everything else 🙄😅
