Why is there an influx of people selling their Cobb AP? Tis has been on going for about couple of months now. Was there no significant gains? Or is there any factory warranty issues using it? Just curious.

I was using the COBB AP without any issues. There were definitely gains and I was just using their OTS tunes.

There may be potential warranty issues with most aftermarket additions, but finding a performance oriented dealership is always helpful in avoiding issues. Best bet IMO is to return the car to stock prior to going in for [major] service.

I dont think there are issues, alot of these cars are traded in or sold and people sell off the parts to get some of what they invested back. Ive only seen 1 or 2 being sold because the person doesnt want to deal with warranty problems but thats it. You shouldnt be worried if you're in the market for one.

Thanks guys for answering my inquiry. I'm debating whether or, not i should buy a used Cobb AP v3. From what i've been reading here it has to be unpaired/ unmarried from the previous car for it to work. Just dont want to make a mistake buying one that will be useless if it was paired.

Lot of people have been in accidents lately, might have something to do with it.

I bought my AP3 used, no issues. Just make sure you buy from someone that isn't shady. I got mine from a fellow member of the local ST/RS group, good place to find parts if your local area has one.

I bought mine new because I am paranoid that way, but it has been by far the best single part purchase I have ever made for any of my vehicles. I noticed the same trend and was asking the same question when I noticed most of the units were coming off 2013 cars and figure they were being sold or lease returned.
