Im looking to replace all four brake pads and rotors on my 2017 Focus ST. I was initially planning on going for oem parts but thought of asking the group for recommendations on any aftermarket pads and rotors that have better or equal performance and feel to oem.

I dont need anything too fancy since i dont track the car but i do like to push the car when i get a chance like at 'Tail of the Dragon' or 'Ohio 555'.

My budget is around the cost for oem brakes and rotors.

Any recommendations or experiences will be highly appreciated

my 0.02$. If you daily drive especially during the winter. I would not get drilled rotors. I had the issue of the drills rusting, getting dirt, and scoring my pads. I ended up getting rid of my drilled rotors + pads and got some nice oe+ coated BLANK Brembo rotors with Brembo pads. Worked great this summer for daily driving and the 4 autox events I went to. Will be going to EBC YS pads next season.

I haven't had a problem with drilled slotted and rotors driving in the winter.. I bought the car with 80 miles on it and the OEM rotors and pads were grooved all up in a few thousand miles got rid of them immediately. I'm ran some cheap drilled and slotted pads with EBC yellow stuffs and had good luck and they stop great hot and cold and where really well. I just recently had the power stop set and after about 1 year they were all grooved up I had to change them. I'm back to EBC yellow stuffs. I did spend more money on more expensive rotors this time though.
