My 2867r eBay special boost Curve is nothing like that and I’m with Jstuned…always peaked at 45-4800 rpm and zero drop…but I also use a .86 trim

Yeah I messed up pretty bad choosing that I was thinking about, not to distant future, getting the .64 ar housing

Between housing size and that exhaust leak, im sure they're both working against you

Theyre copying the GTX R turbos now. So when you get another, you can have a balll bearing unit with a better compressor wheel to accompany the smaller hot side.

Its mainly the inital dip after the gate opens. The turbosmart gate helped this a little.

It is pretty incredible though, after looking harder at the graph. it spools faster than the stock turbo. Not what anyone asked for, but impressive nonetheless.

This is true, but with that in mind, I'd be more fearful of LSPI events with this one than the stocker.

Yeah i figured from the beginning it was due to the imbalance of wheel size versus work performed (tiny turbine with little "leverage" fighting a bigger and high volume compressor).

I'll say it, I'm hoping someone can chime in with a BWS set up. I've seen a handful of people on the facebook pages running them for a while and liking them.

The folks on fb claim to be right at 300whp with them, so if they keep the same torque we can get with the stock set up, it'd be a darn good daily set up imo.

Yeah the powermax is in that range as well. It does make for a fun daily. Alan has my timing ramp conservative and it still blows the tires off. It would be a lot of fun in a rear wheel drive application.

I just bought a GTX2867 .86 Gen2, but thinking of selling it for a G25-550. I'll be on stock fuel with 91, still worth it?

Those are 2 different animals. The .86 A/R is way too huge and spools super slow (see the graph, it spools like a 3071). Either get the smaller a/r 2867 or, yes, the g25 550 will be a far superior turbo. Just be aware it requires an EWG (i did search ATPs website after the fact and they list no such model with IWG).
