I think the wing riser kit is an awesome inexpensive mod for the Focus ST but I can't see paying $149.50 for the Boomba kit when there are other kits online for half that cost. Anyone have a bad experience with either the quality or installation of a non-Boomba kit??

Velossa tech all the way. Cheaper and they come in different colors. And the service is unbelievable. I accidentally typed in the wrong address. It rtv and then he shipped it back out no questions

Yeah anodized doesn't stay it's original color, red turns pink eventually and the black turns almost a bronze color.

I run both Boomba and Velossa Tech products on my car, they are both very high quality manufactures and make great parts specifically for the ST.

I went with the Velossa Tech wing riser kit as it's very well made and comes with o-ring plug inserts for the holes instead of stickers. I was going to do Boomba wing risers with the Velossa Tech plugs($150 + $30) for $180, but it just wasn't worth double the money when the Velossa Tech kit is just $90. Also, the Velossa Tech risers are plenty strong enough and don't feel cheap at all.

Boomba Racing thanks for the reply, but the color change doesn't bother me. I know this always happens with anodized metal (every piece I have ever owned, many products on motorcycle) it always turns black to purple ish tint in the sun, and sometimes turns a bronze color. Nothing that can be done with it, it is just something that happens with this coating process and UV exposure.

but they shouldn't get any sun.they are under the wing, my spacers for my wheels are bronze from the heat and just the fronts...lol...

I've decided to go with the Boomba set because I think the quality of the piece (I was able to see both up close n personal from fellow ST owners) is better. Hopefully, Boomba will have these as part of their Black Friday specials .....hopefully.

I swear I look at pictures and reviews from boomba kits and the wing looks risen higher than the other brands wing height ? Can anyone clarify if there is a difference in height or I'm just going crazy??

No, I believe they are roughly the same height +/- a few millimeters between all brands.

I've never seen a wing rider in person and I don't know where the plugs go. Im mainly asking for color choices. I have a black and red theme going with black being the color of my ST. The red risers seem like they would look cool but what about the plugs? Should I get black plugs or red. I think the red risers and red diffusers could look good together.
