I want to start by apologizing if this question has been asked and/or answered somewhere else. If so please link the thread. Thanks in advance.

I am going big turbo with a BNR 2867. As for what charge pipes I should get I'm unsure. I am thinking of getting the Depo kit with hot and cold side (bang for buck) and welding on the boost solenoid flange and an HKS BOV flange. Will this work or would I have to go with something else? Any input would be extremely helpful!

My ideal setup would be the 3p hot side pipe with BOV flange and the Mishimoto silicone cold side pipe.

The bad thing about modifying the Depo pipes is they're already powdercoated and will look crappy when you have to grind that off to weld a flange on there. Doesn't matter what touch up attempts you make.

After checking them out, they seem like great options. Will the Tial flange on the 3p pipes work with an HKS BOV as well?
And have you had any issues with false knock from them?

I'm unsure about the interchangeability of Tial and HKS flanges.

There are a lot of good reviews on the 3p hot pipe. The main reason I'd opt for the mishi cold side pipe is for the flexibility and lack of chance for false knock.

I personally run stock charge pipes with my big turbo. I custom made a bypass valve setup on my stock pipes.

I did see that thread of your DIY BPV! I commend your research and thorough explanation/walk-through of it. I was planning on doing that, but I'm a sucker for some BOV noise, so I decided against it.
Thanks for your suggestions, I haven't come across the 3P pipes before your mention. I'll most likely end up going with them (y)

I have the depo pipes ready for my bnr3071. Yes it looks ugly welding the tial flange but ain't nobody gon see it. I did it for cost reasons. Depo is really good stuff for the price.

Tial and HKS use different flanges. One's v-band, other's snap ring.

I want to do the same I'm looking at a BNR turbo kit I have all Depot charge pipes and I don't want to have to spend over $500 on a charge pipe and bov.

I have read that the aftermarket charge pipes for the hot side do not fit very well with aftermarket turbos...curious if anyone has run a BNR67/71 without issues with an aftermarket hot side. I have the cPE exhale kit (with HKS bov) for the cold side and was going to get the matching hot side. But I'd rather grab a cheaper one since its basically, a pipe. lol Though I have not seen any videos showing actual power losses from a stock charge pipe, I have read a bunch that the exhaust for BT's like a larger diameter. I currently run the CNT Racing 3" cat-less dp and their cat-back, but the exhaust is only a 2.5" and i think might be a slight hindrance once I'm tuned on the BNR71 i got. I just want to make sure I'm getting all the power/toruqe out of my set up I can.

In general you're right, aftermarket pipes don't fit well on turbo kits unless they are designed for that kit. Depo is good, I ran the full CPE setup (hot and cold sides) and even that didn't fit well. Personally I've grown to hate cold side bov kits, i don't see the reason for their existence when there's so much more room on the hot side.

I can personally attest that a 2.5" exhaust is more than enough, I was pushing over 360 wheel on a 2.5" exhaust. It certainly wont hurt to go 3", it may help a little bit but we haven't really seen a definitive power jump when going from a 2.5" to a 3" exhaust. I think it would be a different story if you started to creep above 380whp

well for now, Im FBO/E30. I really enjoy my CNT Racing tone/sounds, its not as obnoxious as most of the 3" exhausts and mine sounds pretty deep as-is. The 3" ones sound good from inside, but on the exterior they have an almost resonator/muffler delete sound to them.

Once the BNR71 goes in, I plan on just getting it tuned with stock fueling. My main reason is i dont feel like replacing a perfectly functional clutch yet, so Ill get the most out of the factory fueling running E30 still, maybe E40 (370-400whp based on a bunch of dynos Ive seen). Then Ill drop an XDI hpfp in there and retune for more power, then see how far my clutch will last (i dont run from a dig or drag race..mostly spirited driving and the occasional track weekend 2-3 times a year). I wont be hitting the max the 71 can put out because I want my engine to last as a drivable daily.

Confirming depo hot side fits w bnr. Albeit the fitment sucks, it will work. I had to bend the mounting tabs to make it work.
