Poor man’s saffron rice. Basmati cooked in chicken stock with fish sauce, turmeric, olive oil. Asian cheating style, saffron is too expensive.

I see no need to stop hi-jacking your thread (a bit late now), a lite dinner tonight. Meeting up with the girl friend later for cheese cake...and desert. Black Pepper Marmalade Mahi Mahi. I made the Tangerine/Lemon Marmalade myself. It was delicious!

Alone for dinner tonight, so I went past the seafood shop. Was looking for some swordfish...none...but same as last time, they did have some Ahi flown in today. Cut the first tender asparagus spears from the garden and seared everything.

Gonna have to get some variety; second Ahi posted in 30 days...
