I searched for this topic but I could not find anything on the forums so I apologize if there is already a thread about this. I recently purchased a set of front and rear AVS rain guards, also known as vent visors, for my 2014 Focus ST3 and I have having an issue with them fitting on the car correctly. The set is supposed to fit into the window channels but on some of the windows the guards fit fine and the window can go all of the way up but on other windows, the guards do not fit well and the window will not go all of the way up. I just wanted to know if anyone else purchased the AVS rain guards and had an issue with installing them on your ST. The set did not come with any installation instructions and I had my girlfriend's brother-in-law install the set for my, since he installed a set of rain guards on his VW Jetta. I can post pics of the fit issues if needed. I bought the set from FocusSTShop.com and I hate to return them if I installed them wrong and messed them up.

I recently installed the same set. Like eglove stated you will need to work the weather strip. I used my heat gun on low setting while I applied pressure to the back of the rain guard working from the front (mirror) to the back (b-pillar). I also added some double-sided tape to the portion of the rain guard that rest on the b-pillar for added strength. I would be glad to email you a copy of my directions. I hope this helps

I found this video showing how to install a set on a 2013 ST. I am running into the same issue with the window automatically rolling back down after hitting the rain guard, specifically on the front driver's window. Based on the video it looks like I was installing the guards incorrectly.

I had a hard time with mine - same problem where the window wouldn't go all the way up. Then I finally realized the lip along the top edge of the AVS visor goes up into the channel that the window goes into. But the smaller vertical tab on the side of the AVS visor does not go up into the channel where the window goes - it goes outside of the window channel, on top of the rubber weather strip, and then back in under the plastic pillar piece. That probably doesn't make sense to read - but watch that youtube video and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Yup I had same issue. The non taped tabs go between weather stripping and body, not between weather stripping and window like you'd think.

Just notice on my driver side window must not have a good seal, there is a wind noise at highway speeds

One note, I cracked one of mine by leaning on it just a little bit while washing the roof of the car one day. These have a decent amount of flex, but they will crack if you push on them in the middle too much. I've had other window visors on all my cars over the years and have never had one crack like that. It kind of surprised me that they were so fragile.

I get a lot of wind noise from both sides of the car - but I put these on so soon after buying the ST that I'm not sure if that's normal or not. They seem to allow a good seal with the window. I might beef up the weather stripping around the door and see if that's the cause rather than the ventshade.
