Anyone running the Garrett G30-770?

I've not heard of that one being run yet but Alan just told me he just tuned a g30-660 that made 530whp at 30psi using an ATP kit. Not sure what engine mods were.

Yeah I jumped into it in third at 3k the other day. At 4K it let a loud and long tire screech. That’s with a G25-550 and a 4 port auxiliary fuel running e85. Maybe 450whp and it peaked at 28.85 psi.

LSD with sticky tires totally changes that and puts the power down.

I'm preparing to run g30-770 (Pulsar). Parts should be with me by the end of the year.
I currently have g25 550 with 4 port aux fuel and recently I upgraded to 2.3. Ordered Piper cams ultimate road (stage 3) cams with double springs, Depo 5.5 IC and the turbo of course .

I’m in the process of trying to install the atp kit I had to cut the axle carrier bracket and stud waiting on sanding disc to come in to sand down the compressor housing

That bracket and stud are pretty important...

tried to find a decent picture of the size differences between the g30-660 and g30-770; the 770's do have a decent sized larger housing than the g30-660s:
From left to right: g30-770, GTX3076, g30-660. Note that the 660 has a 3"inlet vs the others have 4":

Not sure i would take the size penalty if it meant having to clearance the axle carrier. Then again, the g25-660 is probably the biggest id build for 😂

I see the issue, I'm surprised its sitting so low, that seems incorrect.
I see, why do you need to grind it down then? just curious, I've heard of people having issues with really big turbos hitting the block.

It’s not clocked where it needs to be for my piping to work

It's very close to the bracket. I made the exhaust elbow myself and that's probably why there is a bit more space between.

Haha, wow thats a huge difference! Surprised it fits still. I know some people have mounted larger turbos where the battery normally sits. While i like being able to see a turbo, i dont like how they usually hood dump the exhaust.

Here is where I left it in the end . These are numbers at the crank so bhp:

Boost is around 28.5psi (1.95 - 2bar) and using E50.
Drove the car on track this weekend and everything went well. It spins 265/660 slicks in third without any problem. To get it to hook in third at WOT, slicks have to be fully wormed up and wheels straight
