Could also splice using a chunk of the stuff you just took out. You'll be hard pressed to find that exact wire color combination unless you wanna spend about $30 for 100 ft. I'd just take the black and splice that in to extend the wires.
Will do, I feel stupid for not thinking of this in the first place. I guess I lost my mind when I saw airbag lights lol. PO must really have valued a warm butt I can't imagine disabling safety features for this.

If anyone is still following this thread thank you all for the input and help. Sorry I'm a bit scatter brained. Im glad I got the seat issue figured out and as for the speaker wires they will probably stay as is until I feel like pulling my dash apart.

I totally get it man. No need for apologies. A couple weeks ago my cel flashed for a second and went away I full panicked and pulled over and checked everything. Didn't even think to use my scanner in my passenger seat lol

Coincidentally, I have to take out my seats to install seat covers. Did you just disconnect the positive? Or the negative? Or both?

Looks like a universal kit. Would have to remove the seat covers, place the heating pad/element where you want and place the covers back on and run wiring. Pretty simple job but fairly labor intensive.
yup i did this in my wife's mazda 3...same exact toggle switch as OP. Universal kit off amazon. The one i bought was on the cheap side and doesnt get that warm. Stock focus heat is hotter/better but its better than a completely cold butt

the hardest part (which isnt that bad) is just getting the cloth off the seats. They awlays have a few hog rings that arent the most fun to remove and then reinstall. OTherwise, just takes time but not too much skill. Just need to think how to route wiring, which taking the seats out of the car helps.

There are a bunch of kits, some have two heat pads for lower and upper and others just have a single. If you only want lumbar, that could be easier, only need to pull up half the seat fabric :)

I actually just had the seats out to install seat covers. The seat covers were harder to install than the Oem seat covers looked to pull. I have st2 seats and it was literally held on by elastic straps and plastic c hooks.

Yea these defiently don't get too warm but you can tell they're on, I ended up cleaning up the wiring job a little bit on the passenger side and left the driver side alone as PO actually spliced the wires rather than just cutting them and re routing like the passenger. I haven't figured out exactly what the seat belt tension sensor does (the belt still locks up when you tug on it) but im trying not stress about it. Also got all the speaker wire pulled out this weekend.

The seatbelt tensioner is actually most likely the button side of the latch. Most vehicles now, when you get in an accident, will have a little explosive in the latch where it will help tighten the seatbelt during an accident only. One time use thing... Hence why the airbag light goes on when it's unhooked. It's part of the SRS part of the vehicle (Supplemental Restraining System)

He must have swapped seats or done something weird, the wiring harness under both seats is the same way I cant figure out how its supposed to go back together so I'm just going to return it to how it was and pray the air bags are still functional. At least he used heat shrink and fuses I guess 🤦
I have after market seat heaters in my st1 seats. That looks like how mine is setup. At least the button. Not sure about the wiring. But looking at the ass cushion it looks like it still has an after market warmer in it.

You can search for someone like an aftermarket styling place or tint specialist that does the heated seats or install them yourself. I opted for a company to put mine in.
