Just picked up a set of TSW Bathurst wheels and was looking for some lugs. Looks like only a few vendors make them for this car from what I was able to find. What is everyone running? Gorilla? Volk? KICS?

Thanks

I run McGard spline drive tuner locks (spline lug nuts plus a lock nut for each wheel) in black chrome on my summer wheels and McGard standard lug nuts (with a lock nut) in black chrome on my winter wheels. McGard's are not the cheapest option, but I ran their red capped spline drives on my last car for over 10 years with no discoloration. McGard makes a blue capped Spline drive nut if you are after blue.

Running the Neo-chrome Muteki lugs, certainly not cheap either, but dual locking (key lock lug plus splined lugs). But I really enjoy them thus far.

I had a set ordered and sent them back. Build quality was way behind the McGards that I am used to. The quality was definitely good for the price point, but if you are willing to spend more you can find better nuts. From what I have read the finish begins to wear off and they begin to rust with age. That said, they seem to be popular on the various car forums I visit.

I just can't justify ~$100 for the McGards.

Then buy the Gorillas. As I said in my post, the Gorillas are good quality for the price point. Certainly better than the factory 2-piece nuts that like to come apart. If you go with the Gorillas just be careful when installing/removing to not chip the coating. If the coating doesn't chip, they will likely never rust on you. If it does, you may want to cover it as they tend to rust when the coating chips. Most reviews I have seen are happy with them (because theirs did not chip). Occasionally you run into someone who had a nut rust on them (because they chipped).

The reviews on amazon are fairly representative of what I have seen on forums/heard from users of Gorilla nuts. You will find a lot of high reviews because they held up. You will find a few (certainly fewer than the high reviews) where the nuts rusted on them. Sometimes within the first few weeks of ownership.

FWIW these will be for summer wheels only, so rust SHOULDN'T be an issue.

I will be getting a set from Sick Speed when I come around to ordering some. Mainly because they offer a good amount of colors
