I have the Mountune BPV. It is superior quality over stock, and on par if not better than any other aftermarket BPV for our car. It's a direct swap, no tuning adjustments required. If you are not specifically looking for the sound that a BOV provides it's a no brainer imo.

Next I would say Boomba now makes a BPV along with their popular BOV. I like Boomba products and they have great customer service.

Those would be at the top of my list. I didn't want to vent to the atmosphere so it was between the Mountune and the Boomba BPV for me. Quality of workmanship would be a win either way. I chose Mountune for 3 reasons, it resembles the stock valve in size and shape, so since I'm still under warranty and stock but that and tune I wanted to fly under the radar a little more if I had to go in for a warranty issue, I was hoping they would over look that, opposed to having a different designed piece that was anodized and in your face more, second it was slightly quicker/easier to install, you have to modify the solenoid bracket for the Boomba (talking like a 5 minute difference with good tin snips, it's a stretch I know but, I honestly thought about this), and without a group buy on the Boomba Mountune is cheaper.

Pardon my ignorance on the mechanics of a Turbocharger, as it's new territory for me. I looked over at the Mountune website, and didn't see a "BOV" listed, just an Air recirculation valve. Are they one in the same?

A BOV vents to atmosphere and a recirculation valve discharges back into the intake side.

Love my turbosmart dual port BOV, no tuning required, plus you get the head turns. If you want the sound BOV for sure like mentioned above, otherwise mountune makes a great direct replacement. Mountune parts are top notch if you ask me

So I'm coming to the conclusion that the ST comes from the factory with a recirculation valve. Or am I wrong on this one?
Yes it does. Pretty much all cars that have a turbo come with a recirculation valve. It keeps things more quiet for the average person.
