So i have had my accesport for about a week installed Stage 1 93. Afr ratio showed 14.7 while at idle.This is with closed box and COBB air filter. So today i decided to play around, I did some errands with open box it dropped down to 14.55 at idle. Then came off put stock air filter back in and it running 14.85. It seemed to have more power and was more responsive with closed box and COBB air filter.
So my question is this.

Does the ECU not adjust to different conditions once you flash it with a tune?

The ECU adjust untuned, it doesn't matter.

My car runs 15.1 or something at idle/part throttle but I'm not using an off the shelf tune. This is the E40 tune however so lean is fine, lean on DI is fine. Only a concern on port injected cars, not here.

Keep the air box lid on, get a snorkel from Ford Racing (CFM has them without the filter) or Velossa Tech.

It's going to bounce around a little bit around 14.7. Filter isn't going to change the AFR, especially in closed loop fueling.

If it's near 14.7 and stays constant, no problem. When my o2 sensor crapped, it was idling really rough and AFRs were anywhere from 13.8-15.4. Not right.
