Given the horrid Middle East climate of ours I always wanted to add a WMI system, even back when I was on stock turbo setup, but huge cost of the amazing Aquamist system ($800) prevented me from doing it. Now I am on BT since Aug 2021 so I finally decided to go WMI with a affordable AEM system ($390). WMI for me is more for cooling and added octane to avoid any knocks as I am already on the limits of pump 93 Oct on my current BT setup. Mountune MRX EFR 6258!

Did the install couple of days ago. Thanks to poster below the install was a breeze.

AEM WMI kit install ... rob99rt

Took around 3 hours as I wanted it to be a clean and neat install. The bottle and pump placed in the spare tire area and the trunk carpet goes back to its original place. All wiring wrapped in cloth tape, fasteners etc. Not a wire or hose pipe is visible in the car. Zero trace of WMI install in the car.

Additional items I bought was the AEM Solenoid ($65) (have it placed in my glove box) , 10$ on/off switch from Amazon for the AEM controller both placed on the left side of driver dash area and a 1/8 NPT Nozzle Adapter ($25) for silicon/ rubber hoses by Bosphorus Innovations. I have taped the nozzle on the Mountune Silicone Cold side pipe 6-8 inches away from the throttle body. Am running 50/50 mix of distilled water and Methanol (M1). The Boost reference was easy-peasy, I tapped at symposer delete plate with a 90 degree 1/8 NPT 90 Deg hose end ($5).

So the V3 H20 Inj kit (30-3300) comes pre installed with the 500cc nozzle (cupped end). Also additional nozzle provided in the package is 250cc (divet end) and 1000cc (flat end). The tank is 1.15 Gal a tad bigger than the discontinued AEM V2 1 Gal

I currently have the 500cc nozzle in my car with starting psi at around 10 and max flow 21 psi.. I am only custom tuned for 93 Oct. Am not tuned for Meth. Am already making power which is at the limits of the stock fuel system. I sent my data logs after the WMI install (to check STFT/ AFR) to my tuner and he gave me the green signal that all is well and its not rich to be concerned. Will update install with some pics.

Some questions for the fellas running WMI with progressive systems on BT. What is the start psi and max flow setting you'll use? Many thanks in advance.

Due to our warm climate water/meth is quite common here among motor enthusiasts. Most of the mechanics here say, placing the injection nozzle as far from the cylinders as possible on the charge pipe allows for the water/methanol mixture to be better absorbed into the intake air charge. But from what I have seen in this forum most common location is the throttle body with spacers.

Just completed the install a couple of days ago so haven't really pushed the car. I did some wot drives with my latest calibration that has more boost/ timing added. I noticed i get very clean data logs. Right now the cooler months have started. Time will tell really as my main purpose of adding WMI is mainly for our summers and engine safety. No way will I be in a position to spend on a engine rebuild with a car I have owned since 2014.
