Abnormal center wear - Continental DWS06

Hi all,
I need some help here.
My 2013 ST has about 78k on the clock.
My current tires are Continental ExtremeContact DWS06.
They were installed in October of 2015, when the car had roughly 54k miles, so they have about 24k miles on them at the moment.
They are inflated to 33psi all around, and have been filled with Nitrogen since new. I had the alignment checked (in-spec) when they were installed, and it's been re-aligned twice since they've been on. You'll see why in a second.
According to Continental, these tires are rated for 50,000 miles. Not gonna happen. The centers are totally shot at 24k. They won't pass inspection today, and are starting to feel squirrely in wet conditions. I paid too much for these tires to just toss them and buy a new set. I drive fairly mildly, for an ST driver. I NEVER do burnouts, I don't race or do track days. The closest I come is taking corners at speed on occasion or engaging the boost once in a while to merge with traffic.
The wear is even across all 4 tires, and is only in the center sections.
Additionally, I'm getting serious road noise that's been getting progressively worse over the past couple months. At this point, it's actually loud enough at around 50-60mph to cause buffeting inside the car with the windows up. You know, that sound you get when you leave the rear window down a little? It's no where near that dramatic, but it's enough to be more than annoying. At lower speeds, like in parking lots or approaching a stop, it becomes a growl. I've looked at the tires, but can't really see any obvious cupping, which would be my first thought for the source of the growl especially. There's no visible evidence of broken belts or sidewall bubbles either.
I'm attaching photos of the tires and the latest alignment report, from about 12k miles ago. I notice that the caster is out of spec on the front left, and close to out on the front right, but my understanding is that these are nonadjustable. Could this be the cause? Can anything be done about it that doesn't require aftermarket parts? I'm not interested in spending money I don't have to fix Ford's design flaw, if that is indeed the issue, which may not be the case at all.
I've contacted Tire Rack about the treadwear warranty, and they're very helpful in facilitating the replacement, but it requires that I buy another set of the same tires. I'm not sure if I even want another set, if they're gonna do the same thing.
Anyone have any ideas about what might be causing these issues?
Any suggestions appreciated.

I'm running BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2 A/S. Handle great and are flawless in wet and light snow.
Thanks, I'll check them out.
How are they for road noise and treadwear?

I also have heard good things about the BFG Comp 2 A/S.

Tire rack likes um too.. here is some test data for ya.

Good info, thanks!
I'm leaning towards the BFGs. I'm a little concerned that one of the first reviews I see is from someone with an ST who hated them. I'll have to read up more, once I hear what Continental is willing to do (or not do) to help me out.
Check out the Michelin Pilot AS3's had a lot of luck with them at work.
Yeah, the Michelin's and the BFG's are the 2 top rated tires in the class at Tire Rack. I'll probably end up with one of them if I have the choice.
However, I'm still gonna be partially stuck with whatever Continental decides. Depending on how helpful (or not) they are, I may end up with another set of the DWS06's, if they'll only do an exchange or partial credit on a replacement set of the same tires.
I just can't afford to roll out and buy a new set of rubber right now if I'm footing the whole bill. I had planned to replace these at around 40-50k, as the projected life suggested, not 24K.
Ok folks, update time...
Short version: I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER CONTINENTAL PRODUCT. EVER.

Longer version: After contacting Continental and being given the runaround, finally being shifted off to Tire Rack as my "dealer", I was basically told to take a long walk off a short pier. If I wanted to buy a new set of tires, then pay to return the old ones to Continental, they would look at them and decide IF they were willing to do anything to help me cover the defect. The nice lady at Tire Rack said in her experience it was a waste of time. I agree.
So now I'm on the hunt for a new set of tires, about a year earlier than expected. Thanks Continental. Jerks.
I talked to my local tire dealer, who will most likely be doing the install. She pointed out something about the General GMax AS-3's that I hadn't noticed. The OEM ST tires are Y-rated XL-load. I know I need to keep the XL loading, but she's adamant that the Y rating is important as well. The General Gmax are W-rated. According to what I've read on Tire Rack and Goodyear's sites, the speed rating is a solid guideline, but not exactly the end of the world if you step down a rating from Y to W.
Anyone have any solid evidence that I really need to stick with a Y-rated tire, or will I be fine with the W's?
My dealer is strongly pushing the Toyo Proxes 4 Plus over the Generals, on the merits that it's a longer treadlife tire, has a better (her words) warranty, and that it's the right service class (Y) for my car.
Searching on Tire Rack, there's surprisingly little info about the Proxes. For some reason, they only list it in one size, and it's not the one for the ST. That worries me. If Tire Rack doesn't sell a tire, I feel like there's a reason.
Looking on other sites, the reviews for the Proxes are pretty good.
Anyway, I need to make a decision in the next day or so, and I'd like to get your opinions on the above, as well as additional comments about other tires that I should consider.
Please keep in mind that the budget is very tight right now, since I wasn't planning to buy tires until the end of this year.

Speaking of which, The General Gmax will cost me about $500 for the set, mounted. The Proxes will be about $700, mounted.
That $700 is really over my budget right now, which is why I'm looking for other option. Please keep that in mind when recommending. I can't afford a tire that's $140 each before mounting right now.

W speed rating is 168mph, which you'll never hit. Also, I hate continental also. So agreed.

Edit: Keep in mind something, if you think you'll be spirited driving or anything better prepare for it than "get by" with cheaper tires. So do homework and do not cheap out on tires, they are the only thing holding you to the road. Get good tires and you'll be more safe :D If the General Gmax's are everything you'll ever see with your car and you won't ever come close to outdriving them and the ratings are great, good deal.
