Only thing I can add is, you’re getting the car tuned and handling nicely, then you’re going to weigh it down with a ton of sound system, defeating the object a bit, isn’t it?

Well I'm a fairly large guy right now and as I lose weight the car can gain it. Honestly though amp, sub, and sound deadener will be around 100 lbs. It's a small sacrifice to me as it will help quiet the cabin tremendously and provide music which without in Atlanta traffic I'd murder hobo someone. If I decide down the road to 100% track the car even then I'd have the door speakers .. I can't go without music.

I like my music too. They're only on a 1,700.1 right now. But I've got lithium and then wolfram aw5k to throw in there soon. Highs are running off of sundown sfb 500.4

Holy crap man! lol I had an 18" in my Protege5 when I was a kid and it'd make me feel all warm n gooey inside... what in gods name does that make you feel like? I don't know rather to run to it and hug the furry animal that growls, stab it with a pitchfork or run away!! What's your record for dB?

No that’s the big purse over your shoulder way of doing it. Here in Murica we buy big turbos and no catalytic downpipies with EPA flouting tunes.

MOT got nothing on us…. Or whatever you have to do. 😛

Yeah, historically Brits know nothing about building fast cars; you know aside from, Lotus, McLaren, Jaguar, Bentley, Cosworth, Noble, Caterham, Aston Martin, TVR, Lagonda, Riley, ... and a bunch more I can't recall ATM. :LOL:

I don't know much, so please can you explain this to me.

Let's say I have a carriage+load weighing 4000lbs (= a car) that gets pulled by 4 horses. By the logic in your comment; if I remove 1000lbs from the carriage+load, I will magically gain 1 horse? I do agree that the carriage+load will reach top speed faster with 3000lbs compared to 4000lbs, but where did the extra horse come from? Sounds like witchcraft or black magic

It known as power to weight ratio, the lower the weight, the higher the power to the weight being pulled, bhp per ton. 😁

That's not the same as what you said before. You say if you reduce weight, you automatically gain horsepower. If you remove the spare wheel, the back seat, the passenger seat, etc etc = instant extra horsepower? So if I remove enough weight from the vehicle, the car will make more power then the turbo can make?

the outcome is the same, less weight = faster car.

That I have already agreed to, that I understand. sttwoton has been saying that if you remove weight from the car, automatically you make more horsepower. You do go faster everywere because there is less weight, but there is not more horsepower. Like I said earlier, if I follow the logic from sttwoton; if i remove enough weight from the vehicle, the car will make more power then the turbo can normally make
