Hey all, has anyone ever tried these headlights? They seem to be new to the market as I search almost everyday to replace my ST1 Headlights.. Here they are. Automotive lighting Vehicle Headlamp Light Car

I was just looking at those. I may be the guinea pig. If anyone already was one, chime in!
Just do a projector retrofit.. Much better output and cheaper.

That's the plan. However, it requires doing cracking open the OEM housing which is difficult and can be risky. Even going that route I'd likely need a backup set of headlights and these ebay ones look appealing.
I haven't opened the ST's headlight housing but I've done it on a few other cars. It's a lot easier than it sounds. Popped it in the oven on low temps to soften the glue, pry her open and go to work. I imagine it'd be the same for the ST, yeah?
I've heard the 2015+ headlights are a pita to open. Some business on a headlight junkie group on Facebook did a set of RS lights and said they were very difficult. Plus I assume trimming would be needed on the back of the headlight in order for the projector to fit correctly. These possibly would be easier to retrofit since they already have brackets and such for a projector

If you want retrofits, contact Bullseye Retros.
He does a lot of work for Mustangs, Lightnings, and other Fords. I believe he has done one set of lights for either an ST or RS.

They look local to us too. Thanks so much.
I did contact them actually :fordsmilie: They are the ones who told me how much a pain they are. They did an RS so they did not have to retro a projector in. I believe all they did was add demon eyes and paint the housings. These just seemed like a easier route to go so I won't have a car with no headlights for however long it takes. I wish I could do a retro though. Don't trust myself enough haha
Our headlights use Permaseal to seal the headlights which are a PITA to open. It's possible but they are a pain. I would not retrofit my ST2 headlights. You'd lose the swiveling functionality. I'd rather use an ST1 headlight. Much easier to retrofit and it still has the LED DRLS.
Well the retrofitting shop wants a lot to retrofit (almost as much as set of used ST2/3 OEM headlights).

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on these ebay ones. Will report back with quality.

In for info!
Let me know! I will be buying them very soon!
There's also this style available. If I didn't have an ST2 I'd pick these up they look really cool.http://m.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-for-2015...%3A3543686015a0a786c35ae914fff8f77f%7Ciid%3A2

I ordered a set of these last week, as well. I got shipping confirmation yesterday. I will report back with photos once I receive the lights and have a chance to get them in!

I almost pulled the trigger on these as well, but then I noticed that they have large chrome strips on the top of the housings, which is a bit much for my taste. I'm glad I noticed it, because in many of the pictures, it simply looks like maybe the sun or overhead lights are just lighting up the top of the housings, and makes it hard to tell those are there. They are clearly visible in some of the photos, but most of those photos seem to be taken in low light levels, which I'm guessing tone down how visible they would be in person in the sun. Some might like that, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. If that section of the housing was black, I would have definitely given those a shot. The ones reactiveness started the thread about look almost completely stock, which I'm hoping ends up being the case once they arrive.

The chrome is tacky. Glad to see this new option.

Exactly why I didn't wanna get those is because of the chrome at the top! looks tacky as Ssquared said
I can say that opening 2016 ST1 headlights was one of the hardest things I have done in a while. The conversion came out great though
I've been waiting for something to replace my 15 st1 lights with. Curious to see how these will be.
