i was told from ford that the seal in the turbo went bad and needed to be replaced. i bought a refurbished one and replaced it, but still blowing white smoke. any advise...

As the other poster said, white is from coolant/water. It sounds like you're getting some coolant into the engine, you could potentially have a leak in your head gasket.

Agree with above posters.......white smoke always coolant related......been there done that more times than I want to remember. Hate to tell you my friend but have to get the head gaskets checked........almost certainly the culprit.

Do you have a cheap or loose (or perhaps full?) catch can ? Because that will also do this. I had the Steeda catch can and with that one, if you over-tighten the plastic hose fitting on the can (jar) it pinches the fitting closed. The result was a huge cloud of white smoke behind the car every time under acceleration! Scared the crap out of me.
