  1. The Dirty Duecette

I run the standard two extra grounds, and whenver I run into a frame ground I clean it up. Given the percentage of my car that has been disassembled, I have cleaned up quite a few grounds over the years. At least the standard stuff is in the 72 pages, lol, not sure on the oddball ones.

Lol, yeah it happens with some ST's. Usually means the lpfp is flowing strong enough to get the hpfp to really shoot up that fuel rail pressure. I've had it before. All of my electrical ground touch ups and the like, probably help this situation. Yeah, high is fine, low is problems. Lol
  3. The Dirty Duecette

    Focus ST Builds
Well, my hpfp is an over achiever. Just have to sort whether the p300 is just at startup. These are just soft codes, no cel. It's not much of a concern for me. If I'm lucky, maybe tonight I can get some solid wrenching in.
  4. The Dirty Duecette

    Focus ST Builds
Well, I tried to pull logs tonight. Couldn't get any clean ones. I'm pulling down -.5 on cylinders one and three towards redline. As in, I'm straight out of the positives and in the negs. It's false knock. So my plan is to disconnect the DP from the exhaust, then loosen the v-band for the...

Did you scan it for soft codes?
  6. Ran rough briefly after fillup

Lol, well it's only dumb if it caused damage. Which it hasn't for me yet. It's still not advised though, and I do not recommend it. Just saying that it isn't such a huge deal.
  7. Have 1k to go towards upgrades. Suggestions?

    Focus ST Performance
    Ap3 is 500, depo racing 3.5" fmic is 350.

I'd get an accessport from a tuner of your choice. It will come with the superior maps of the tuner most likely. Rmm is a great choice. Green filter would be perfect. Also look into maybe a Depo racing fmic. Our stock one is horrible. Most people agree that your first two mods should be a...
  9. Ran rough briefly after fillup

One of the evap issues, and electrical grounding issues is a very inaccurate fuel/miles to empty gauge. My buddy actually ran out of gas last week with 24 miles to empty, lmao. Try not to push her hard on that low of gas, if the tank pump can't grab fuel, you are going lean. Lean is kaboom...
  10. Clutch help after engine swap

    Focus ST Discussions
What year is your ST? For a 2013/2014 There are no sensors on the trans, or slave, or in the hydraulic lines. There should be two sensors on the pedal, one at the firewall, and one towards your shins. I believe the one at the firewall is the one for the starting circuit, but in this case you...
  11. Clutch help after engine swap

    Focus ST Discussions
IIRC the RS has one of the switches on the clutch master in the engine bay, moved up from the pedal assembly. I forget if this was a change for the ST at some point as well. I just keep assuming everyone has two sensors on the pedal still. We threw a RS master in my buddies 2013 ST. Pretty much...
  12. Clutch help after engine swap

    Focus ST Discussions
The ability for the car to start, has nothing to do with the hydraulics actually. It's just two clutch pedal position sensors. The sensor is either damaged, improperly mounted, dislodged, unplugged, partially unplugged, or the wiring is damaged. His lack of smooth clutch pedal readings from...
  13. Wilwood Big Brake Kit - Brakes Are Dragging

    Focus ST Photo/Videos
300 bucks? You should have bought them already. I'd replace the seals, and clean everything up. You could always sell them for more than that, if they are legit. Snowflakes clear them. 18x9.5 +30, thats a huge offset. That shouldnt even fit on the cat unless you are on stock suspension. I had...

Well, if the price is right, roll the dice. Lol There seems to be a lot of wear on the aluminum hats and the calipers, I wonder why. Mine are still looking great. Looks like someone wire wheeled them or something. Kinda gross.

Youd want to visually inspect the pistons as best as you can, depending on the mileage, you may want to replace the seals. You really can't tell piston damage without the pistons pushed either mostly out of the bore, or completely out. During a seal job though, you'd see the whole story. Try to...
  16. Readiness monitors with a built engine

    Focus ST Performance
None of the catted/fuel type matters. These cars can be difficult to get the monitors to start reading. Once they actually read, then you will have to sort out any catalyst efficiency codes. So for now, find out if the O2 is on. Its probably off.
  17. Readiness monitors with a built engine

    Focus ST Performance
So your monitors are not ready currently? Talk to your tuner before you do anything else. Verify if the rear O2 is on, or off.
  18. Readiness monitors with a built engine

    Focus ST Performance
What state are you in? The O2 sensors will react the same way, you would just need the rear turned on, and maybe a defouler. It's not much of a difference from a stage three catless, unless I'm horribly wrong. Could have sworn its just looking for a difference between the sensors, in a given...
