Talking What keeps your restlessness at bay?

I am starting this to get things into one place and to prevent thread jacking the "Noobs" thread.
Also what audio set up do you have? @brian60

Well, just ordered a fidget spinner (lmfao) so soon I'll have one. Other than that I have wicked ass air guitar skills, music (spotify pro), and imagination. Listening to music limits me usually to just foot tapping instead of moving my legs, my hands, playing with my ring, tapping my ring off my coffee mug, etc.

Oh, and @elyk864 I don't have an audio setup in my car because I'm terrified of this stupid wiring in my 2014 and as intelligent as I am (not bragging there...) I have 0 comfort messing with expensive electronics. Especially non-warranty vehicles when it's your only vehicle lol. I'd like to do the full amp/speaker/sub upgrade at some point for a grand or so.

Edit: You may have saw my musicophile comment and thought it was the same as an audiophile...which I am...just not with this car.

I love music also, I think I mislead you with the audio setup. My car is the stock 10 speaker with sub, but my desk setup on the other hand.... @brian60

Ahhhh I gotcha. Music content wise I'm only up to a few thousand downloaded songs on Spotify right now, I get in the habit of not downloading them and just streaming mainly, I need to download more for offline listening. My old phones always got maxed out on space though when I had tens of thousands of songs. I'm a creature of habit in the fact I don't organize my music well enough...so like...I'll have huge playlists of totally random music I need to work on it.

My setup for listening I used to have I ended up losing in a long story I won't get into lol so at the moment I just have a basic 7.1 surround headset at home I got on sale which I can't think of the name because it's weird. For the money I spent I love it. I'll update this if I remember what it's called.

as stated before, I have a spinner to fiddle with and an authentic fidget cube from antsy labs (supported the kickstarter)

I'm horrible about tapping my heels like Im playing drums, or shaking my leg below the knee. Ill plant my toe under my desh chair and shake my heel back and forth vigorously. Most of my issues are restless leg. Ive got pretty bad anxiety, and fight it mentally every day. Have had a prescription for xanax for years which totally makes me the most chill calm dude you'd meet, but I dont want to be dependent on it so I only take it if it gets out of control. I manage it with dedication usually. I've become a gym rat and spend 2 hours a day there, this helps tremendously because its 45 mins on the treadmill reflecting and getting in the mindset then another hour and some change to do my routine in my on mind with my phone on DND. just me and my mental focus. This alone is my favorite part of the day (aside from being at home with my fiance). But this is MY alone time, its all I ask for, and all I really want. I do spend too much time working on my truck (restoring, for lack of better terms, my 91 chevy silverado). I do so much better by keeping my mind occupied as much as possible, the more focused I am on something the less my legs move or the less I fidget. So if I am focused on fidgeting the end result is less dancing in my seat.

I hear ya on the trying to keep busy thing, I could probably be diagnosed with something if I saw a doctor about it but I just try to stay busy. I pretty much live in my garage fixing things for other people or building things. My recent thing has been turning pens, really having fun with that. I can't really sit down and watch TV, I can get through one movie or one episode of a show then I have to do something. I have become the neighborhood handyman because I offer to help all the time just to keep me from going stir crazy.

I fidgeted with my ring...now my wife hates me and another one is being made to replace it. On that note, ordered two fidget cubes (one for my brother) so hopefully I play with that instead. Also big on the restless leg, even in my sleep. I find reading is the best way for me to just calm down, I can zone out and forget about all the little things that keep my mind going. Like everyone else said, getting out and doing some real physical stuff is also a great alternative when you get a chance. Nothing like cutting trees all day and hauling them to be ready for chopping to tire you out.

I have a guy at work that buys the fidget spinner, I understand the purpose of them. Only during the day while I am driving from place to place do I have an issue. I used spotify and/or Pandora for awhile but it gets old. I know this sounds stupid but before i leave one location going to another I throw on a YouTube video, autorelated and throw it on the seat next to me. At home my vice is usually cooking. I enjoy it.
