***NEW - Massive Rear Shock Tower Brace for 2012+ Focus!!!***

Massive drew upon their experience over the last 15 years to create a superior rear shock tower brace for the 2012+ Global Focus platform!

Stiffens up the chassis offering improved handling, and more repeatable, consistent driver feel.

Our unique bar employs well known fabricator tech to bring your Focus’ chassis in check! Massive Competition Series Rear Stress Bars are meant for more than just beauty — they feature HUGE 1.5 Inch .120-” wall steel roll bar tubing with 1/8” thick heavy duty dual mount flanges for the ultimate in strength. This is far more robust than our competitors, hence the “competition” name.

Simple install in less than 2 hours with basic hand tools and a drill. Quality made in the USA. Comes with premium thickness powder coating for long lasting service in your choice of colors! Vinyl Massive logo so people will know you use the best!!!

    Why it's better:
    • This design picks up the actual shock mounts - where the transfer of energy is greatest. And we dont affix the bar to this critical point with spindly little "stand offs". We employ a solid billet aluminum block to transmit all of the shock mount's area into the
    • flat steel bracket.
    • Some designs do offer triangulation as we have utilized here. However, they forego the critical shock mount attachment. Additionally, our triangulated bracket is mated to the shock mount and the solid 2 layer steel near the top of the vertical area, not the
    • paper thin wheel well area, so strength is maximized.
    • No drill installation optional
    • Available in your choice of 8 premium powder coated colors

    JUST $199!!!

Will this bar interfere with rear dampener adjustments?

The billet aluminum block would allow it, but I dont think the bracket would if you leave the knob on. What brand is that shock?

I just installed this today. Part seems to be the quality you would expect from Massive (very good). However, my kit was missing all 8 nuts. Contacted them to get the right ones. For now, my bar is riding with the stock nuts from the stud that are typically discarded during the install (good thing the threads had to be the same due to the captive nut).

Note on the install. The video is good. However, do not use a 3/16 socket to remove the stud. Use the correct tool for the job which is an E7 (external torx) socket.

Will post driving impressions and followup on my missing nuts after I know something on both.

Edit: Correct nuts are on the way. Massive was quick to followup and fix their mistake. Mistakes happen. Companies that fix them are the ones to work with.

Nuts delivered today. Great company to work with. Great quality part that looks and feels great.

Install notes... as previously mentioned, use an external torx socket for the factory studs. A socket can work, but I am a fan of using the correct tool for the job. It was easy to pull out with the correct tool. If you are having a hard time getting it out with a regular socket, go buy some ETorx. Next, make sure you get the aluminum blocks all the way down. They say this in the video, but I had to pull carpets a second time on one side because I missed some of the interior foam that was stuck under the block. Easy install overall.

As for the part... I should have put a rear stress bar in before now. The handling has changed a little at extremes (meaning not really noticeable in daily driving). For daily drivers, the reason to buy this part is that the interior rattles are pretty much gone with it installed. I assume having the extra chassis stiffening in the hatch keeps vibrations in that area to a minimum, which has really helped the rattles.

Pics below. I opted to do the drill free version of the install (putting the provided caps side mounts instead of bolts).

For reference (not that I said a ton about the performance of the bar) current suspension mods are:
    Mountune ClubSport suspension
    Mountune strut brace
    Steeda rear sway bar
Massive front and rear end links

Rear end definitely feels tighter with the stress bar. Not as much improvement as when I installed the sway bar, but noticeable. Improvement may be more/less noticeable depending on your existing setup. The complete lack of rattles from the hatch will likely be noticeable unless you have found a different way to tighten things up back there.
