    Misfire issues with e30 tune

i have a stage fbo e30 tuned focus st with just shy of 12k miles on it. my spark plugs are gapped to .27 as instructed. i dont know what could cause the misfires im having other than the tune. they tend to happen in the upper gears 4-6 at lower RPMs. is there any thing i can do? could it be the E30 ?

Is the car misfiring in higher gears while cruise or WOT? What speed? Also, simply pull your plugs and check for fouling. Could be time to get new spark plugs. Good luck.

If you’re on the original plugs, I’d say swap ‘em. It seems that our cars eat those up like candy! Are you running 1 step colder plugs? If not, then I believe you should. At least pull your current plugs and check your gaps again.

yep, time for the feeler gauges.. spark plugs are so easy to check and swap on our cars, i'd be double checking. As mentioned, one step colder is needed at stage 3 and full bolt ons.

Also, i hope thats a typo but our plugs are suggest to be gapped at .025-.026", not .27.
