Changed the spark plugs last night. 25K miles. Bone stock other than an intercooler. Stock heat range NGKís gapped to .030-.031. Original plugs measured around .032 and looked extremely clean. Wondering if I wasted my time.
What I found strange was that apparently 12n-m/106 in-lb is literally hand tight. I seated them by hand, dry, no anti-seize, using just the extension and gave it a final hard twist before connecting the torque wrench. The wrench clicked with no apparent movement of the plug. I am definitely not overly gifted in the strength department. Has me wondering if something is wrong with my little torque wrench. I gave them a slight tug after the click and didnít feel any movement, so they seem to be seated.
