    hydroplaned into curb **help asap

hydroplaned into a curb. the passenger wheel is moved inward (toe) can y'all help me spot what needs replaced?

    control arm is obviously destroyed.
is that rod supposed to be bent on both ends (tie rod I think?)

Looks like the steering linkage is bent, control arm, CV joint may be busted also. Also my guess is if the suspension is that bad the wheel may be screwed also.

what elyk864 said and also check out tire too. Was the impact limited to just the front wheel?

back wheel is curbed pretty badly but I imagine it's cosmetic. enough to make me need new rims regardless. I doubt there's any susp damage in back.
you think the CV axle is shot too^^??? why

If it was rolling at all while all the other parts were bent it may have been binding. You won't know till you get everything else replaced though.

time to exercise your insurance coverage . . .

did something very similar to my 14 ST3 when it was just a few months old
wasn't going fast ... swerved to miss something that fell off a truck and caught the curb doing no more than 20 ... but it was a curved section of curb that caught the bottom of the wheel and after the wheel was visually back in the well and had excessive "+ camber"

note - the suspension does not like side impacts ....

    my total was $3448

    steering knuckle, nut and bracket
    control arm
    rotor
    hub
    splash shield
    inner tie rod
    outer tie rod
    (misc bolts etc)

test drive after the front was fixed showed rear had problems too

    hub

I needed 2 wheels (bent) and 2 tires (this was $1000 right there)

    *****************

did a similar side impact to bottom of wheel on an Audi years ago when Mrs slid - very slowly - in snow with the wheels turned to full lock. Again the wheel was visibly displaced. That required the strut and the hub and the tie rods ...... 35 years ago but $1500 then!!!! Again a 'side' impact to the lower end of the wheel applied a lot of force to the suspension from a direction it is NOT designed to take a hit!

Parts look like the right ones, Oriellys carries that stuff and they are usually same day or next day depending on where you are located. I looked up the steering tie rod and it looks right according to their books.

I did a whole front end replacement on my wifes 06 Fusion: Upper and lower arms, tie rods, ball joints, struts, etc. With the right tools it's not bad, but let me be clear you'll want the right tools or you'll be hating life when it's half torn apart and you're f'ed and have to finish because now you can't tow it anywhere lol.
