Anybody find a source for the caliper brackets to upgrade yet? Still looking to upgrade to the better design of the 13.1" rotors...

Don't worry about swapping them out, I'd just upgrade the rotors and pads, call it good. Or if you want bigger, go willwood or something.

I've owned both a 2013 and a 2014, the 12.6 brakes on the 2013 were generally better on the street.

Isn't that because of the more aggressive pads being used? I wouldn't mind the bigger rotor with my HPS pads.

probably. I have a set of HPS pads, I've just been too preoccupied to put them on.

This is what I'm trying to do. I asked a question about the brackets and of course some folks decided to give options that are expensive and frankly, not necessary. For the weekend warrior such as myself with the occasional autox run and 1, maybe 2 test/tune days at the local tracks a year the BBK is not worth the investment and neither are the wilwoods. I had the FBDL calipers for a while and of course they worked well, but they were more prone to boil the fluid than stock calipers because of greater contact area. I.E. the caliper pistons had much more contact with the brake pads which transferred the heat quicker. They looked good, but even those were $500. To run the 13.1" with wilwoods you have to shell out over $900 just for the calipers and brackets, then buy the damn rotors. Well I've got the rotors already which was about $140 so now all I need is brackets. The added benefit of running the 13.1" rotors is not only the 1/2" bigger size, but the way in which they are cooled. The 12.6 rotors are vented from the engine side where as the 13.1" rotors are vented from the wheel side, so there is absolutely ZERO need for brake ducting or any of those shenanigans.

There are a couple threads on here already with people hashing this stuff out, I know what I know, and I know what I want. What I want is some 4/14+ front caliper brackets.

And yes, the difference was because of the more aggressive pads.

I found this on Ford Parts website:

    2B292

    (BRBCF-33)

    Disc Brake Caliper Bracket

2.0L EcoBoost (250PS), HD Frt/Std Duty Rr Caliprs And Pads; RH/LH
    $26.72
Select a dealer for prices & availability

    Vehicle Build Date after: 3/31/2014

    Link: here

If you go here, it is on page 5 and says it is for build dates after 3/31/2014 (Link here). Could be it?

Edit: I think I might order a set (along with rotors) and see if they work. If not, I return them and get my 50 bucks back. Any idea if there are other places to get the rotors than the dealer?

Woah, has there been a discussion on this here before? Any more explanation on the venting difference?
