So, I just removed my grille and there's a radiator scoop and below that, a piece of plastic attached to the lower bumper that obscures the crash-bar. The plastic attached to the bumper would need to be cut away with a dremel. Did you just pull the scoop out? It looks pretty well designed to pull in more air to the radiator. Any problems with cooling after?

Did my '16 a while back, pull the grille and sand the back down with angle grinder and flapper wheel. Cut the plastic trim behind it with a dremel. I pulled all the plastic cowling, grille shutters, and bumper support. I also rattle canned my crash bar gloss black to hide it. I didn't notice any difference with cooling temps and now you can mount stuff to your crash bar

How difficult is it to pull the grill off? Kinda scared to start pulling too hard

A few of the locking tabs on the grill that go into the bumper broke off on mine. Now one side of the grill comes out about 1/4" but not all the way. So yeah it can be fragile. To be 100% safe you'd remove the bumper and then remove grill carefully, pushing from the backside while depressing the tabs
