7.10 With crackles safe for Stock Cat?

I got my 7.10 with crackles and I LOVE it. It sounds awesome with the Stock DP and MBRP Catback I have.

My Question is, is it safe for the Stock DP? Im noticing when I get out of the car after a drive there is alot of heat coming from underneath the car.

My Catalyst Temp reading on the access port varies between 500-700 Degrees Celsius.

I know you guys didn't recommend the 7.00 Crackles if you had the Stock DP, so I thought id ask....I couldn't even hear the 7.00 Crackles with my setup so you guys must have changed something because its fabulous now!

    Thanks!

All it will do is kill the cat over time, to some that's a big deal and to others it's not. Stock downpipes are pretty easy to come by if you ever needed a new one

This tune does not add any more fuel after lift than it would otherwise. Have a look at your cat temps with the tune that does not have the crackles and you should see similar temperature numbers. In these terms I don't expect the cat to be heat damaged in a short period of time. The crackles are also temporary and it is a not a sustained condition.

About how long do you think you could run this with a stock downpipe before the cat goes out?

hell my 94 saturn crackles pretty good around 2800 rpm and its stock minus the muffler that rusted off a few days ago, that's how i know it crackles LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Focus RS crackle pretty heavily stock also and they have cats.

Crackles are what, detonation of excess fuel in the exhaust system?

Does having the crackle and pop on the main tune effect the main tunes performance? Im about to order from you and would like to know that.

The crackles in no way affect the performance of the tune.
