I traded a 2012 Focus SE/Spt in on my ST. I had these Sport Edition rims on that with some Fuzion UHP all seasons, with a set of General Altimax Arctics on the black 17" stock rims. When I traded the SE in; I kept the Sport Edition rims, and had the Arctic snows mounted on them by the dealership; then put on my ST for my winter set up. Though.....so far we haven't had diddly for snow (not complaining!).

I just changed to my winter tires over the Christmas holiday. I went with the Hankook I*cept Evo W310 (225/50/R17) with the Winter Momo Pro from Discount Tire Direct online. I chose the 225 over the 215 since the roads in my area will be relatively snow-free for most of the winter, but I will still easily handle any snow that does happen to fall. Of course they don't handle quite as well as the stock F1s but that's to be expected with any winter tire and taller side wall. I'm pretty happy with them so far and they are really quiet. I didn't buy the TPMS sensors so I'm dealing with the tire fault message for now.

I also took the opportunity to change the oil at 1000 miles. I went with the recommended Motorcraft FL-910S filter and used full synthetic Mobil 1. It was relatively painless including removing the cover underneath. The only issue was removing the filter since the oil kinda gets all over the filter after loosening since it is vertically mounted. It took exactly 5.7 quarts to get the oil within the hash marks in dipstick.

Got quoted on some Blizzak LM-60's. $890 for all 4, mounted and balanced (on stock wheels) with TPMS. What do you all think? Seems to me that it's a pretty good price. Anybody running the Blizzak's? If so, let me know how you like them.

Blizzaks are often quite good in the snow. But don't expect a very good feel. The sidewalls are softer than you'd like on a sporty car. If you want the car to retain a decent handling, I'd look at the Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT (a bit pricey though) or the Continental ExtremeWinterContact (more in your price range, better than the Blizzak on asphalt, just not as good in the snow... but close enough IMO).

    Re: Winter Tire Recommendations

I got 16" momo winter pros with falcon eurowinter 446's. My focus handled unbelievably good in the snow. All for $1000.04 with tpms sensors included.

So I might have missed it, but did anyone figure out if the regular focus 16's would fit for sure or not? Or if there is another 16" steelie would fit?

I was going to go with the Continental Extreme Contact, but it would have taken some time to get them into the shop nearby. They had the Yokohama yk580s in stock. I've got about 800 miles on them and have found them to be very grippy. I never drove the Contis, but I hear the sidewalls are a little soft. The yk580s feel great in hard cornering. No complaints so far.

Quite a few people are running 16's. Very little clearance, but they fit.

My 16" alloys have all the clearance needed. But the best steelies the dealer could find only cleared the front calipers by about 1/8". I decided this wasn't acceptable... that's why I went for cheap alloys instead.
