    E-Focus RMM came in today.....

    My E-Focus RMM came in today. Putting the car on the lift now and swapping. Ill update my feelings on the change when Im done.

    Same mount I'm using...fixes most of the problem. Only bangs on extra hard 1-2 shifts and greatly reduces wheel hop. Should have been installed at the factory in my opinion.

    Factory right out of the box. And the pic size....well thats what it uploaded

    I do find that theres going to be some improvement if a company comes up with a stiffer "rubber" PSMM and DSTM. Rubber will keep NVH to a minimum while gaining all the other benefits.

    With the lower mount out, this motor easily rocks in the cradle rotating on the upper mounts. Which easily puts all the rotational burden on the lower mount.

    I was surprised at how easy it was to "rock" the motor once the stock mount was out. Installation made easy...

    Yup, it felt like the motor was just laying up there tied by a string lol.

    Took me about 45 minutes; willing to bet I could do it in 30 now...very easy. One nut had to be removed and replaced about 1/4 turn at a time, the rest was no problem.

    major improvement! Still a little bit of a thud on a hard shift but thats just the nature of a FWD vehicle. My mustang "thuds" with hard shifts too...lol

    Id like to see a comparison of this mount verse the CP-E in terms of NVH, because thats the only other i considered before trying this. And at 44.00 buxs 10% over dealer cost I cant beat it. Top that off if a company offers a "rubber" upgraded version of the 2 top mounts, Id be completely happy. Im not a fan of poly mounts on FWD cars, too much vibration for me and a daily driver. Track only car....no problem.

    Theres really no increase in NVH, and shifts are more crisp and precise.

    The upper mounts Im sure can improve, because once the lower mount was out the motor rocked very very easily, as if it was only tied up there by a string. Having such loose rotational upper mounts surely puts all the burden on the lower mount upon accel. No wonder the stocker gets abused.

    This mount is a much thicker casting too...just looks stronger. I agree on the thumbs up; once again, are you listening Ford, this mount should be the factory mount!
