    Aluminized steel exhaust life (MBRP)??

Looking into the cheaper MBRP exhaust. How long do you guys think this will last me? Only plan on maybe a handful of days of snow driving a year. I know it wont look pretty, but do you think it will rust out and have holes in 10 years?

10 years, it will doubtfully last that long. Probably more like 5 at most before you need a new exhaust, just go stainless and it will outlast the car.

Important to remember. ..exhaust rust from inside out. Moisture from combustion condenses in exhaust and over time rust. I personally like the stainless. Looks better too.

Aluminized is NOT for an expensive aftermarket exhaust. It's for a cheap exhaust you're throwing on your hooptie, or for cars that live in desert states where rust just never happens. If you might see snow, you have moisture- get SS and never look back. I've had aluminized exhausts rust through on customer cars inside of 3 years here in NY, so the cost savings now will likely not hold up over time- Mark W.

Even in the desert, moisture from the inside due to combustion by-products.

^ True, but at least they'll last longer there I ran aluminized on my old Ramcharger when I lived in PHX. It lasted well for the two years I had it before I sold it, despite repeated rock bashings and hard use - I miss that truck Mark W.

opt for the 304 stainless rather than the 409. 409 will oxidize, its actually not rust, but has an appearance thats not as pretty as 304 over time.
