Tighten those WGA's on stock turbos please!

Tuning a 15 right now and I suggested to the owner tightening the WGA preload. This is a stock actuator. The stock preload is about 6 lbs and when fully tightened it's 8 lbs. I learned this doing my modified turbo with stock actuator. Fully tightening the WGA has no ill effects and the wastegate functions properly and opens all the way. Here are some graphs to show the difference in boost curve between stock load and fully tight. Just at 4800 rpm there is a 3 psi difference and at redline its about 4psi. Also the boost curve is more linear. So there is no confusion this is the exact same map no changes to tune. @DDT1972 @StormTrooperST @BadNewsST @TuxedST @tmcphail

Was asking for the guide really, but I can probably figure it out. Easy to get to under the car?

Jack up car and remove heat shield from turbo. All you need is a flathead screwdriver and a 10mm wrench. In the pic below remove the clip holding the nuts in place. Tighten the one on the right till it stops on the threaded rod of the actuator. Tighten the second nut till it stops and reinstall clip. That simple. You dont have to take the heat shield all the way off. You can loosen the bottom bolt and bend it out of the way. This doesn't cause the turbo too gain to much boost it's more to hold it longer. You shouldn't have ill effect from it if your tuned but might want to datalog and send it to your tuner to look over. Like I said in the first post this was the same exact tune and it was completely fine just held boost much longer and didn't drop off as fast. No over boost conditions as you can see in the logs.

I'm u might want to be careful doing that. There's tamper marks on it because they know people will do this and if u have an issue and they see it they will tell u to piss off.
