Borla. I could hear a good amount of the turbo with the stock cat. Now that I'm catless that's all you hear if you are behind the car is the turbo sounds. But it is a very loud setup, little to no drone though.

How loud would you say the exhaust is in general outside of the car on the stock down pipe at WOT from the perspective people walking down the sidewalk? Sets car alarms off loud, a little painful on the ears loud, or whoa that's kinda loud?

I wanted to do it myself and take pride in the work and having something no one else has. It's nice having v-band attachments too vs bolted flanges. Not much testing or research needed for an exhaust at this level. If it doesn't hit anything, burn anything, or have a smaller diameter than stock, it's good to go. Not like building a header. I had an MBRP before and got tried of it (409 stainless, not the best fitment, etc.).

What did the shop quote you for price? I paid ~$400 for supplies and its all 304 stainless, including the flanges, tips, etc. Took me about 12 hours to cut and weld (316 wire, trimix). I don't know what I would use a warranty for on a stainless exhaust system. It'll outlast the car many times over.

I don't remember exactly what he quoted me but it was pretty much the same cost as kit but with the added bonus of tax on everything.

Boo. Not fun. Only sounds worth it if you're cutting and welding yourself. If I charged myself $80/hr plus the parts on my setup, it would have been SO not worth it.

They actually charge $90 a hr which here in upper SC (York County) seems to be the going rate for almost every damn shop around even small tuner shops!
