I just deleted it so my engine bay doesn't look clogged up with cheap plastic parts

I definitely get where you're coming from. However, I always see my charge air temps hovering around 1-2 degrees above ambient, so I don't think heat soak from an open ended filter or from a topless airbox is as big an issue as some on the forums think. As long as it comes out the intercooler at or slightly above ambient temp, I don't see a problem.

Take that with a grain of salt, though. My driving seems to be quite tame compared to others, and I don't track my car either. Heat soak might start occurring when the engine gets driven hard for a long period of time.

Just wondering and I haven't heard about any issues with this but.... Will unplugging the symposer valve (the electrical plug) set off a CEL? Thanks.

My friend showed me this and then I saw it on here a few weeks ago... my first time using this thing lol: LMGTFY

There is some info in there. I've had my steeda plate sitting on my desk for a month waiting to install it.

Hahahhahaha...that was hilarious. No CaliJoe, it will not. I removed all components and left the plug to the valve hanging out of the way. I asked the same question also a while back.

I could barely hear my symposer in the first place. I figured there is no way it can be heard over my exhaust.

Even when my piss poor excuse for a stereo system (Sony) was a like level 8 for the volume I couldn't hear my symposer.
Slightly off topic but I have the 10 speaker Sony with the sub and I think that thing bumps, you think it's bad?

With the $3 sub enclosure poly-fill mod it gets a little better (do it if you haven't), but I have it also and think it is definitely bad. Not worth the added cost Ford claims it is for sure, and makes it near impossible to upgrade if you don't know what you're doing.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, it's tolerable by all means or I'd have done something about it...but compared to cars I've been in and owned with WAY better systems (which by the way weren't even expensive top-of-the-line systems) it's rather sad. Also, turn your sound up the whole way then put your windows down and go on the interstate and you can't hear them. That's kind of annoying.

As far as the sound symposer delete, if you want to hear how it sounds without it, it can be disabled through your tuner. You do not have to remove it from the engine bay.
