Could be the engine moving around but I doubt that would be the sound you're hearing. Can you feel it in the clutch? Best thing to do is take it to the dealership and have it checked since its under warranty. They can give you the best diagnosis.
So, im 19 and just bought my Tuxedo Black ST1. First new car, love ford, love this thing. Except i have a question... When im shifting hard from 1st to 2nd, and i sorta dump the clutch after throwing it into 2nd, theres a "CLUNK CLUNK" as the clutch is released... rather quickly as i stated.
I'm wondering if thats the traction control kicking in? because theres no wheel spin/tire chirp. I havent had a chance to do the same maneuver with with T/C off, because i really dont wanna beat on it.
I dont really race it much, almost never from a dig, but when i did that noise just sort of concerned me... any answers?? thanks!

Stock motor mount! Welcome to front wheel drive
We all get this, the new JBR motor mount deletes this, will have a review up for it tomorrow and video will show you the difference
Try it in Sport Mode (although I haven't tired it myself yet). Mine did the same thing from 1st to 2nd and again from 2nd to 3rd. I think maybe it's the traction control.
ST Syndrome: WeatherTech FloorLiners, Green Air Filter, Unleashed"Torrie"Tune, eFocus rmm
It takes off traction control and modifies how quick the revs are. If you hold it down it takes of electronic stability control, which mainly is used for drag
But you will get way worse wheel hop with traction control off
Yes read the Cobb Notes thread by Braden@Cobb he talks about the motor hitting the firewall during hard shifts. The JBR mount is going to be a must for this car if your gonna drive it hard.

If you enjoy smooth idles, I wouldn't go with the 88
If the motor mounts are as crappy as you guys say, maybe we should petition Ford for replacements instead of paying for them!
Thanks a lot for the link! I'm really interested in this part:Replacing the OEM turbo inlet hose with a smooth section will optimize airflow into the turbo and allow audible feedback from the turbo and bypass valve.
Since this is my first turbo car, I don't quite know what he is referring to... but from what I've heard, a bit more audible feedback from the engine would not be a bad thing. And replacing a section of tubing doesn't sound (get it?) like an expensive or difficult thing to do.
