Ford Focus ST diesel. Problem about sound.

Hi guys! I have a problem with the sound of my new focus ST diesel. It sounds differently each day, sometimes it sounds like a Toyota Pryus and other days it sounds really good. I don't know if it's normal, it's because the FAP or I have a defective exhaust line.
Another question, I don't know about the sound chamber, how it works?
    Thank you!

Hi there. Just want to welcome you and say I hope you don't feel discouraged as you may be waiting for an answer for a little while.

There aren't very many ST diesels on this board. There may be some but you're the first that I know of.

I wish I could help but I'm in the U.S. And we don't get the diesel version here. So hopefully someone else can chime in here from somewhere the diesel is available and help you out.

When its really cold my sound symposer pretty much never worked. Could it be the symposer cutting in and out? Not sure if the diesels even have it ...

    Welcome!!

How many kms on the car? Any visible exhaust leaks? Any pics under the bonnet btw? I'm really curious how the motor looks. If there is a sound symposer, we should be able to identify it in the pic as well. That could be causing the sound difference too.

Its normal, theres a sounds symposer in the diesel.
If you accelerate very hard and making high rpm's (above 2000) then the sounds symposer kicks in after a while.
So the sound will only change if you drive it hard

You can bypass the valve so you can always hear the symposer.

I have observed today that it kicks close to 3500rpm.. if I drive in that range of rpm(3500/4500) the sound is so cute... so tell me about that bypass and how I can install it =D thanks for the info
