The ST is ready for spring

I didn't have a scheduled detail today so I could do my car. My procedure is

    Wash
Sonax the car. It was surprisingly iron deposit free so no fun color shot.
Clay. It was again surprisingly clean.
The next products used were Wolfgang
I had one place I needed to compound
Total Swirl Remover 3.0 white and orange pads
    Finishing Glaze 3.0 yellow pads
Deep Gloss Sealant 3.0 black pads
I used a Griots Garage polisher with a 5" backing plate and 5.5" Boss pads.
Smaller areas I used a Griots garage 3" polisher with microfiber pad.

Plastic and rubber trim, and wheels are coated with Carpro DLux.
The engine bay was coated a couple weeks ago, but the painted surfaces need cleaned again.

Very nice. I am not quite ready as we still have snow melting. I am probably going to wait to throw my nice rims on until beginning of April. I am jealous!

Looking good cooper! Do you have an ST1? My cloth ST seats got stained just from water spilling on them and I've read on here that they're sensitive to some cloth cleaners. Just wondering what you use or would suggest, I hear steaming is the way to go but they're a bit pricey. Figure I'd ask a pro detailer

No I don't have a st1, I have a st3. For your question, I would use Folex you can get it at Home Depot, not very expensive and works well. Vacuume it up well and put a fan on it. Should clean up and dry well.

Looks great! Jealous as everything is very ugly here right now. What did you use on the engine?

Mist of water from the hose. Just a little on, and nozzle set to mist. Liberal sprays of megs APC at 10:1, soft brush on long handle to get as deep as possible. Mist to rinse clean. Air to blow dry. The surface plastic I coated with Carpro DLux. Not sure how it will hold up to the heat, but it works on wheels so should be ok. The plastic and rubber that I can't reach to coat I sprayed Megs plastic and rubber coating. It is an aerosol, I fell in love with Adams in and out spray. This is very similar, though may last longer, and almost half the cost.

God, I wish I could just casually do a job like this lol. Something that people make look so easy I'm bad at haha. I'm so jealous of your black B pillar covers though..that's an awesome sight.

    Oh, and you need coolant.

Good chemicals and it is easy. Oh and time. It took about 5 hours just the exterior. Break it up into chunks. Interior one weekend, enginebay the next weekend. On a day you have nothing going on the exterior.
