Simple green, wash dry coat all the plastic with protectant.

Wipe it down with a damp cloth, then use Adam's polishes in and out spray.
I've been doing this for many years now.
For a new engine like ours you can rinse it with water then wipe it dry with a cloth, then use a foam spray tire cleaner/shine over everything.
I only use diluted hard chemicals on the dirtier engines to keep labels from wiping clean.

I wipe the dust down with Adam's Detail Spray, the treat the plastics to Adam's Super VRT or In n Out Spray..

I generally maintain under the week bi-monthly by just wiping it down with a damp cloth after washing, or detail spray if its heavy on dust. Re-Apply Super VRT every 4-6 months under the hood.
Has anyone thought of plugging those holes near the struts? I know lots of dust and gravel makes its way up there.
So it's completely safe to hose down the engine/battery/etc?
Just make sure if you run the green filter at least put the stock one back in, no sense of soaking your filter with tons of water.
