Good point. I may need to make a plug to stick in for rinsing the engine. I am sure I can find something at Home Depot.

Cut the end off of the stock filter...will take a minute or two to switch out, but will seal well.

Stock filter needs to stay intact for trips to Ford dealership. I am thinking a tapered rubber plug like they have for plumbing. Doesn't new to have a great seal for the pressures I am planning.

I have a spare stock filter I'll send you for free if you pay the shipping. Then you can cut it up and make a plug and still have one for trips to the dealer!

You could always just cover it with a plastic bag and some tape too.. Thats what I do when I do a full engine bay wash.

Hey Ryan, I run a green filter too and was planning to cover the end with a plastic bag, anyplace else I need to be concerned with?

Not that I'm aware of.. The rest of the enginebay is pretty well 'splash resistant'
