Head is done. My girl is going to pick it up in an hour. Everything was vacuum tested and the chambers came in at 43cc.

Went together smooth. Head came out great and the custom MMR head studs are nice. The crower springs sit nicely in the holes along with the new valve seals.

Did Extrude Hone give you a data sheet of before and after the process? Also how many passes on the machine did the head get?

I gotta say your build is impressive. I made a similar build I had low budget and all I did was source used 2.3 RS pistons for $200 a set ,oem RS rods and new bearings and crank and assembled it all back together using new oem bolts. All and all the engine build was like $600 , all I looked for was a mild build , RS pistons have steel inserts and that is the reason I went with those besides they are 300 each at the dealer. So that has to be a very good piston , their are the same technology used in Diesel engines ,

Did you deck the block? If not I hope it all works for you. The RS/Mustang rotating assemblies are the same and have a shorter rod/block and come in at 9.016" The stock 2 liter is 9.062" That puts your pistons in the hole at TDC of about 0.070" (factory is not 0 deck) That is going to lower your compression to around 8.7:1 and you might have quench issues. Did you check oil squirter clearance? I had to bend these ones slightly to give proper clearance. Our assembly is Mustang crank, 2.0 liter pistons and MS3 rods. It's comes out to 9.068" and the piston is in the hole 0.025" at TDC
