plasti-dip pre dip spray... necessary or no?

I'm looking to plasti dip my wheels now that my car FINALLY arrived and I noticed an issue on dipyourcar.com's pricing... Their shipping to Hawaii is ludicrously expensive. Ludicrous as in almost 5times amazon's shipping price (lol). However, they are the only ones who sell the pre dip spray and I was wondering how much not using it will affect the dip job. I am not going to pay $26 to ship $9 worth of product, but is it going to seriously affect the look or the durability? And is there something else I could get at Napa or O'Reilly's or wherever that will have a similar effect?

Just get a degreaser or any other wheel cleaner.. I did mine 2 days ago and just used a a normal degreaser. no issues what so ever. Your just tryin to remove any grease or oil from the wheel. Clean the wheel as best as you can and dry it.. Also use note cards between the tire and wheel. helps out alot.
